Cawston Press has pushed into the fast-growing functional shots category, launching two ambient juice shots that landed in Waitrose on July 13th before rolling out to Ocado and other retailers.

The move takes the UK soft drinks group beyond its core chilled and pressed juice range and into a wellness format that has, until now, been dominated by single-serve immunity and ginger brands.
A weekly format, not a single serve
Rather than the small single-dose bottles that define the shots aisle, Cawston has opted for a 500ml multidose carton. Priced at £4.99, each carton holds roughly a week's worth of daily shots, positioning the range as a routine morning purchase rather than an impulse grab.
Both variants build on 20% organic pressed Peruvian ginger juice: Fiery Ginger pairs it with lemon and apple, while Beetroot & Ginger adds pressed beetroot to the same base.
