Nice, the female-founded, modern wine challenger brand, has opened a community funding round on Crowdcube to fund new product development, deeper off-trade distribution, wholesale expansion and an international launch in the Netherlands.

The raise complements £450,000 secured from angel investors earlier this year and has drawn more than £57,000 from around 80 backers so far, with a minimum investment of £50 and no fixed target. It is not the brand's first crowd raise: Nice pulled in £1.1m via Seedrs, now Republic, in 2023.
The funding lands as Nice widens its shelf presence. Cans of Argentinian malbec are rolling into more than 250 Sainsbury's Local stores, joining its sauvignon blanc and rosé, while the full range enters Majestic, adding 200-plus points of sale on top of listings with Morrisons, Co-op, Ocado, WH Smith and Amazon.
Founded in 2019 by May and Lucy Busk, and now expanded from cans into bottles and boxes, Nice reports revenue of £5.7m in 2025, 69% compound annual growth since 2020 and a move into profitability, having sold the equivalent of 30 million glasses.
