Islands Chocolate has launched a 100% Cocoa Powder, a single-estate powder it pitches as a purer, more characterful alternative to the conventional stuff on shelf.

The difference, the brand says, is in what it leaves in. Where most cocoa powders are processed to strip out acidity and even out the flavour, Islands Chocolate keeps the cocoa's natural character intact, with no mellowing or smoothing of the edges. The result is billed as deep and intensely cocoa-rich, with bright citrus notes and a finish of toasted nuts and dried fruit, all sourced from the brand's own farm in St Vincent.
Already a go-to for chefs and bakers for adding depth without sweetness, the unsweetened powder is positioned as a chef-grade ingredient made for home use, from baking and hot chocolate to stirring through overnight oats, smoothies or even savoury dishes.
The launch plays into growing consumer interest in single-origin provenance and minimally processed ingredients across the food category.
