A new prestige suncare brand, Alta Marea, has launched in the UK and EU, positioning itself at the intersection of Italian craftsmanship and high-performance SPF.
The range
Alta Marea has launched with a three-SKU edit, all priced at a flat £36:
- La Luce — Daily Sun Serum For Face SPF 50 — £36
- La Seta — Sheer Sun Silk For Body SPF 50 — £36
- La Crema — Nourishing Body Milk (post-sun, no SPF) — £36
- La Collezione — Essentials Trio — £85 (a ~21% saving versus £108 buying separately)
La Luce and La Seta are peptide-powered SPF 50 products for face and body, combining Italian-harvested botanicals with new-generation UV filters. The full range is vegan, cruelty-free, dermatologist-approved for sensitive skin, and made in Italy. The brand describes its production approach as "slow beauty."
Behind the brand
Alta Marea was founded by Nico Morga Alden, a beauty industry professional with nearly two decades in the category. Alden's founded the brand due to frustrations with existing products that "felt like sticky white paint on the skin, left a visible cast, and didn’t layer well under makeup."

The brand aims to make SPF a part of skincare routines as opposed to a purely functional step.
