Rheal launches its first pre and postnatal supplement

British superfoods brand Rheal has launched Pregnancy & New Mama, a pre and postnatal supplement designed to cover conception, pregnancy, postpartum and breastfeeding in a single daily capsule.

The formula was developed by founder Charlotte Ali alongside Rheal's resident nutritionist Natasha Draycott, with the brand prioritising bioavailable nutrient forms, rather than the synthetic forms common in mainstream prenatals.

What's in the formula:

• Quatrefolic® folate, the active form of folate the brand describes as "over 20x higher" than synthetic folic acid
• DHA from algae, a plant-based omega-3 to support fetal brain and eye development
• Iron bisglycinate, a chelated form chosen to reduce the nausea and constipation common with standard iron supplements
• Choline, which Rheal flags as commonly missed in mainstream prenatals
• Methylated B12 and folate, plus magnesium and vitamin D for maternal energy and recovery

Capsules are scented with peppermint to counter the early-pregnancy nausea that scent alone can trigger. The formula is free from artificial colours, preservatives, bulking agents and fillers.

Charlotte said she developed the product while pregnant herself, after struggling to find a prenatal she felt confident taking. "I was pregnant, exhausted, and standing in the supplement aisle reading labels knowing the ingredients weren't good enough," she said. "So I created the pre and postnatal I wished I could have bought."
