Reflo opens £2.5M Crowdcube raise

The Harry Kane-backed brand is bypassing VC and inviting its community to invest, off the back of £10M+ in revenue and partnerships with Williams Racing and the WRC.

Reflo, the UK-based sustainable performancewear brand, is raising £2.5M through equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube — choosing community investment over venture capital as it looks to scale across Europe and the Middle East.

Pre-registration opened on 19 February 2026, with the public round launching on 27 February and expected to close by mid-March. The raise comes two years after the brand's £1M seed round, which was led by England captain Harry Kane.

Why crowdfunding over VC

The decision to go the Crowdcube route rather than take institutional money is deliberate. Co-founder Rory MacFadyen has framed it as an extension of the brand's ethos — inviting the people who buy the product to own a piece of the business.

“We’re challenging an industry responsible for up to 10% of global carbon emissions - and we believe the people who wear the product should have the chance to own part of the mission,” says MacFadyen.

The numbers behind the raise

According to figures displayed on the brand's Crowdcube landing page:

  • £10M+ in revenue to date
  • 60% gross margin
  • 189% year-on-year ecommerce growth
  • 3M+ plastic bottles recycled and 200,000+ trees planted

Reflo operates across DTC and wholesale channels, selling direct through its own site and through retail and sports partnerships. The brand holds sustainability certifications including the Global Recycled Standard, Bluesign, and Oeko-Tex 100, and its core fabrics are made from recycled polyester derived from post-consumer plastic waste.

A sports partnership strategy as distribution engine

The brand has secured a series of high-profile deals that give it visibility well beyond typical DTC channels:

  • Williams Racing: A two-year deal as Official Licensee, Official Supplier, and exclusive Team Travel Kit provider for Formula 1
  • FIA World Rally Championship: Official Teamwear Supplier to the WRC Promoter, launched at Rallye Monte-Carlo in January 2026
  • Formula E: Partnerships with Jaguar TCS Racing and Nissan Formula E Team
  • Football: Official apparel partner for Forest Green Rovers and Luton Town
  • Golf: Collaborations with The Open and the Icons Series, with Kane as global golf ambassador
