myota, the London-based gut-health brand founded by computational biologist Thomas Gurry and microbiome scientist Kat Stennett, closed a $4.5m (£3.4m) Series A led by food-tech investor PeakBridge.
The raise funds a dedicated B2B sales operation across Europe and the US, continued growth of its direct-to-consumer business, and further clinical work.
From supplement brand to ingredients supplier
myota sells patented prebiotic fibre blends and fibre snack bars aimed at supporting digestive and metabolic health.

But the brand is beginning to shift upstream, positioning its formulations as an ingredient that food and drink manufacturers can build into their own products.
myota signed a global partnership last year to supply Joe & The Juice with its prebiotic fibre powder and says it has product development running with established names in dairy, bakery, and functional beverages.
Why it matters
The raise lands as European brands chase the gap between consumer interest in gut health and the persistent fibre shortfall in everyday diets. Selling a validated ingredient to manufacturers is a more capital-efficient route to scale than DTC alone, and it gives myota a defensible position between functional food and clinical nutrition.
The company says it has completed seven clinical trials, with more underway.
