London baby and children's food brand Lune & Wild closed a £2m Series A led by Guinness Ventures, capital it will spend on production capacity, retail expansion and hiring.

The round drew an investor list heavy with category operators, including Doug Struthers, the former Ella's Kitchen managing director who now chairs the company, GP and food writer Rupy Aujla, and ex-Butternut Box commercial director Harry Bloice.

Founded in 2021 by cousins Lara Rodgers and Nadia Simonds, Lune & Wild sells organic meals and snacks for babies and young children, built around chef-developed recipes and input from paediatric dietitians. Rodgers trained in kitchens including The Ritz and The Newt; the pitch is restaurant-grade cooking applied to a category long defined by sugar-heavy, shelf-stable pouches.

Lune & Wild draws roughly three-quarters of its sales from direct-to-consumer, channel, an unusually high share for food this perishable and price-sensitive, and says it has doubled revenue every year since launch while shipping more than a million meals over the past twelve months.

The raise is really about closing the channel gap. A new kitchen four times the size of its West London site signals a bet that supply, not demand, is the constraint as the brand moves onto shelves. Its recent listing on Ocado puts it in front of exactly the affluent, convenience-led parent it has been acquiring online.

Lune & Wild says it remains UK-focused despite overseas interest, with growth tied to scaling production and widening retail distribution. More at luneandwild.co.uk.
