Commune unveiled Montague, only its second scent since debuting in 2022, marking a considered expansion for the design-led British brand. Named after a village near founders Kate Neal and Rémi Paringaux's Somerset base, the fragrance is built around warm summer evenings, pairing sun-ripened fruit with night-blooming florals for a more sensual feel than its original scent.

It opens on bergamot, grapefruit and green mandarin, moves through cardamom, night-blooming jasmine, rosemary and camphor, and settles on Siberian fir and galbanum. The scent runs across five products: hand wash, hand cream, body wash, body cream and bath salts.
In keeping with Commune's sustainability positioning, the range comes in aluminium packaging, with the washes and creams fitted with reusable metal pumps.
Montague launches in October through Commune's website and at Liberty, Harrods and Harvey Nichols, extending a fragrance identity the brand established with its 2022 debut, Seymour.
