Punchy, the UK hydration drinks brand, has sold a stake to Belvoir Farm as part of a recent funding round. Neither the sum invested nor the size of the stake taken by the Leicestershire soft drinks manufacturer has been disclosed.

The deal deepens an existing relationship: Belvoir has been Punchy's main co-packing partner for more than three years, and Punchy says the investment turns that supplier arrangement into a commercial partnership, locking in production capacity as it scales.
Punchy sells lightly sparkling cans and on-the-go sachets, and has built out distribution across Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Boots, Holland & Barrett, Whole Foods, Planet Organic and Ocado in the UK, plus Selfridges, and export listings including Albert Heijn in the Netherlands and Delhaize in Belgium.
"The world of co-packing can be the wild west as a small brand, so having them on side gives us both the capacity and the partner we need to keep going," said co-founder Paddy Cavanagh-Butler.
